Crossing Signals
Need some help wiring two sets of crossing signals (no gates - just flashers) with three wires coming out of the base. No markings as to manufacturer - they came out of a donation box at the club. Several questions:
A. How do I make them work in conjunction with an approaching train?
B. Can anyone supply me with a simplified wiring diagram?
C. Do they require any type of resistor? - Am pretty sure they are not DCC nor LED.
D. Can the two signals at the same crossing be wired together or should they be wired to DC Accessory Power separately?

DCC Electrical Fun - Position Indicator for Peco Electrofrog Turnouts Thrown by Finger or Ground Throw - REVISED
After getting the passenger and now the freight yards completed in Union Station, I was having problems seeing the position of the turnout so after a bit of internet research I found the circuit described in this video on the web (later tracked it to a Dec 1997 MR article on pg. 115) and decided to share it since it works and will allow me to see the position of my Peco electrofrog turnouts that are thrown by finger or ground throws.

Tutorial on ocean or lake water with waves - EASY & low-cost
Hi! I saw a forum thread some years ago on how to make water effect using toilet paper and glue. I have tested this method and now also used on my own layout to make water in my harbour. I think this method is close to "fool-proof" in getting a good and realistic result. It´s also obviously a very low cost method, so I thought it was a good idea to spread this method by making a video tutorial. I hope you like it.
Ore Dock Construction
Hi again everyone,
I spent the last two days working on my ore dock for my HO DM&IR layout. It is 9 feet long and 4 tracks wide. Here's just a few pictures of the progress. Lots more left to do, as most of the chutes need to be rigged and half of them weighted. If anyone has done this before and has any tips let me know.
Thanks,
Cody

Track Plan Thoughts?
What do you think of these two? I want all those industries and preferably stick to needing 1 4'x8' sheet cut in any way.
A more rough plan, not my favorite.
Chainsaw Layout - Somewhere in Southern Ontario
I think I've finally got my track plan drawn to how it is built. The radii may not be exactly as shown (some might be a little tighter than shown but I've tried to keep everything as broad as possible.
