Not Enough V&O
Someone lamented in the forum awhile back, that MRH wasn't doing enough about the V&O, of course over the years, the V&O has been well covered by the print media, especially back in the 1970's and 80's, and since that time even, Alan McClelland has rebuilt and subsequently torn it down, however, thats not the end of the story!
Progress on the Donner Summit - Backgrounds
I spent most of the week working on some backdrop paintings for my Donner Summit Layout.
I painted a nice backdrop for Grass Valley shown in these two photos. I haven't put the track down in this area so I just put #9 on (NCNGRR HOn3) on some track for these photos.
Molds and Casting
Okay, after having my interest tweeked from reading a couple of posts about making molds and resin castings, I read Making Your Own Castings by Laurie Green.
Now I probably have more questions than answers. It took a little time for it to sink in that Mr. Green was coming to us from Austrailia, and that his "Pinksil" and "Easy Cast" materials were probably only available "down under" and would probably cost a small fortune to have shipped here.
Weathered Rolling Stock (2010)
Finished up two weathered cars... Nothing super special, just a quick blast from the airbrush.
Custom load from Grand Central Gems, on a McKean centerbeam.
Weathered exterior, still need to work on the interior.
Prototype small grain elevators in Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa
I've been taking photos of grain elevators for years, here's a few of the smaller ones that I thought would be interesting subjects for a model railroad.

The new CL&W Sub: Revision 4
Hello all, decided I'd start a new "chapter" instead of appending to the original blog which was getting a bit tiresome. I'm in the middle of rebuilding my own rendition of the B&O's CL&W [Cleveland, Lorain and Wheeling] subdivision in the Cleveland area.
Huey P. Long pt2
I think I found enough to start designing my plan.

Now, this is the master plan for widening the traffic lanes, but it also gives the span types and footages.
If any one has a contact number for the Crescent City Model Rairoad Club, please post it as the link on the site comes up error 404.
Thanks
