22 Stories Up - Module 1 - Micro Scene
One of the advantages to working on small(er) layout sections is you can play with various elements without feeling that guilty about other, necessary work getting done.
I've been planning this for a while, and finally I had the time to put it together. It's not a big deal, but it was surprisingly more fun than you might think.
Instead of me boring you with my text, I think I'll let the pictures tell the tale, and save us all 10k words.
HO Scale Live Steam?
Well, I should say OO scale live steam. My friend in the area Norman showed me his Hornby live steam OO scale A4 locomotive yesterday, sadly I only had my old iPhone with me.
Rolling Stock Addition(s)
Taking a break on module construction, and now armed with a spray booth, I'm spending a little time working on some rolling stock additions that I've wanted.
22 Stories Up - An Evening Run
I was so impressed with Kevin's Washington Northern video, I decided to do one myself, showing how things are looking currently on the layout.
I hope you enjoy...it's just over 6 minutes, and probably 3 times as long as it should be!
22 Stories up - The pain of apartment living is eased with a Portable Spray Booth!
There are some advantages of living in an apartment, but at least in mine, the ease of painting models isn't one of them. Our windows open only slightly due to the height of the building and the design, and we have no outside space to relocate to when it comes to this kind of task.
As a result, I had assembled a Tichy flat car, and there it sat for months, wanting paint. And naturally I sat by, also wanting to paint it.
Trueline & Accurail Cars (Was Summer Cargo)
Summer Research
I'm fortunate enough to be back for a little while in my modeling local (leave for the hot desert this week), and I've been taking a few shots to help me out with modeling. Currently I've been looking at and for colors and tones, so that's what I'm focusing on mostly. Now I'm kinda thinking my green grass isn't really too green after all....
The Green Mountain State.
Maine Two-Footers
While spending a couple of days with family at the beach in Maine, I was able to slip away one morning for some selfish personal time at the Maine Narrow Gauge Museum in Portland, Maine.
Photos, are up in my railroad photography gallery.
I can see why these are tempting modeling subjects! I Hope you enjoy!
