Experimenting with some N Scale singles slip switches today.

I am hoping to build a new yard with the slip switches and laid them out temporarily to see how well they perform.

WIP -Brandon’s Auto complete

Another building finished. The flagstone wall on this auto repair shop has turned out well. Still have to put on the signage before fixing it to the downtown area on my layout, The Trenton Subdivision in N Scale.

Able to finish some CN vehicles over the holidays for my layout, Trenton Subdivision in N Scale. Including a supervisors car, work vehicles and tractors for the Covidpan Intermodal Yard. I used Testors Insignia white, Rapido CN Red and Highball Graphics CN MOW Decals. Captions on the photos below give manufacturers and details of the individual models.

Update: Less is More WIP

The track into the downtown area on my layout, the Trenton Subdivision in N Scale is laid and ballasted. I removed several sidings to give the area a simpler, less cluttered look. More below.

Less is More! WIP.

Weekend WIP! Tearing up the tracks to the downtown area on my layout, Trenton Subdivisionin N scale. The area was too crowded, removing some of the sidings, opening up some space and adding additional feeder wires. Less is more!

Playing With Foam -Building storage trays and a work station.

With arrival of Rapido Trains LRC coaches it’s time to store some of the older VIA Rail Blue and Gold coaches. Not wanting the hassle of opening a number of jewel cases each time I run this set, I built a storage case. This is 1/4 inch foam sheets, cut to fit inside a sturdy shipping box. I was able to create two trays inside the box. With the leftover foam, I built a small workstation to hold cars/engines.

Schematic Drawn for Trenton Subdivision in N Scale (Finally!)

It has taken a while, but I finally have a schematic drawn of my Trenton Subdivision that I am comfortable publishing. I drew the initial plan before building started, that plan has changed many times during construction. I used AnyRail 6 to design this schematic and is very close to what is actually on the table or will be soon.
