Transfer caboose

I have been working on a home brew transfer caboose.......the kit I`m using started out as a kit from Moloco.

In this kit was an Athearn 50' flat car kit..........I decided this was too big for this transfer caboose.......so I`m using a Tichy 40' flat car that I had built back in 2007 but did not paint until 2008, I had yet to decal this car so it was no loss to me to soda blast the paint off of the car where I needed to glue additional parts.

It's Just Blue

When I decided to paint up a few HBMS GE70 Ton Locomotives, I picked a paint based on photos. I knew there were shades of blue in the photos. In some cases you can see swapped parts with shades of blue on the same locomotives. However, I picked Conrail blue for my locomotives as it seemed to be the closest to my guess of faded paint. Now over the twenty years I have been up in Flin Flon, and visits to the locomotives, I never thought about pulling some peeling paint. Then all but one of the locomotives were scrapped so I missed the opportunity for most of the locomotives.

What would you like to see on TMTV?

I LOVE Trainmaster TV and I'm curious on what videos others would like to see on their site.  Please share your wishes.

The next generation

There has been a lot of discussion about the “graying” of our hobby and what can be done about it.  Most of that discussion is on the macro level, but I would like to take it to the micro, or personal level.  This discussion is about my own experiences and hopefully it can help others.  I have two children, and they both like trains and model railroading, at least to some extent.

Is it just me, or is anybody else having problems searching on the new Walthers site? UPDATE 7/20 - THEY FIXED IT

**UPDATE 7-20-16 Walthers fixed the problem.  Thanks to Tom O. for letting us know.

** UPDATE 6-23-16 Walthers answered my email about their site.  Please see the answer later in this thread.

I just went on the Walthers site to search for something and find the new interface not user friendly at all!  I'm looking for a "truck scale" and can't find a thing.  Here's an example of what I'm hoping to find:
