Modeling general discussion

Greatest hobby frustration?
I would like to do an MRH reader poll on what your greatest hobby frustration is, but I prefer to list common frustrations to pick from so we can easily tally statistics. Essay answers, while useful, are hard to tally.
So let's develop a list. Start with listing some of YOUR greatest frustrations in the hobby, past or present.

Great news for those of us that like to set up our layouts for night scenes as well as daylight operation.

Deep Thoughts
For those of us raised on SNL this title may remind you that all is not so serious. That said, a couple of beers can lead to ponderings regarding time and space. This morning I find this idea cannot be shaken and thought it worthy of conversation.

One Year, Holy Cow!
Tomorrow will be one year since I finished the basement. It's also one year since I started the benchwork. All the benchwork is finished in the 17' X 40' basement. The first town modeled, South Greensburg, has all the track laid and signals working and several of the structures are in place. Youngwood, the second town modeled, is the main yard on the layout. Most of the track and switches are in place but now wired yet.
I'm happy with my progress so far.

Latest video - Update #3 Sneak Peek
I thought some might enjoy our latest video which is a quick look at the start of our locomotive and rolling stock fleet for the new layout and some other fun stuff.
Have a great weekend, Joey Ricard

Weekly Photo Fun - July 15th to July 21st, 2016
Great work everyone last week! Time to start of this week's photo thread!
As always, we get as much out of your in-process photos as we do the highly polished "all done" shots!

Moved this question to the official Acrylics book Q&A thread.
Let's see your lit cabooses.
The first two shots are of a OMI brass model, and the last, a TLT plastic model that doesn't have operating back-up lights:

My $9000.00 Cutting Board (!!) ...

Just don't want to drop it on my toe!!
