TCS UWT-50 Update

Received this via email today:

model railroaders/clubs

Hi,

I'm wondering if there are any ho scale model railroaders and/or clubs in the Las Vegas/Henderson area?

N scale product availability

I am interested in starting an N scale layout but am frustrated by what seems like very limited product availability. Looking at different online sellers my impression is they have numerous product photos (rolling stock, locomotives) but the majority of the items seems sold out. It seems that most items are either sold out or available for pre order for some unknown date in the future. Are my observations correct? Are the days when you could count on purchasing items as you need them gone? I'm reluctant to start a hobby when purchasing options are so limited.

The direction of this hobby.

I have been seeing a general trend for this hobby of more modern equipment being modeled.  I had a Transition Era Layout of the Northern Pacific, which I have torn down and have now started on an even earlier era Steam Narrow Gauge layout.  I'm thinking Time Wise this will be from the late 1920s to the early 1930s.

South Florida Relocation

Good morning.

Researching possible relocation to South Florida cities West Palm/Boynton Beach/Boca areas and ask if there are Train Shows and model railroading hobby shops nearby.

Thank you.

Chain link fences

I was asked (in another thread) whether I used a kit or scratch built the chain link fences on my layout.

Rather than cram the other thread (a cell phone discussion) I decided to put the answer in a new thread and drop a link in the camera thread. Maybe other's would like to drop their thoughts, methods and photos in here? Might be fun.

First....to answer the question.....both.

The photo in question showed a kit derived fence from Alkem Scale Models. It is a high quality flat brass etched selection of fence, gates etc.

1 Yr TMTV + Running Extra - (29.99/year) - SPECIAL PRICING!

I tried to select this $29.99 special, but I am having trouble. I select it, it takes to the area to create an account or login. I already have an account and want to just add this special to extend my current account. Any way I then select already have an account option at the bottom to login. I can login OK. It briefly takes me to a screen for the special and exists then to the normal TtrainMasters home screen, where there is no options or places to select this special. Any one else having this problem?
