In theory a downhill grade…

Deemiorgos:   It’d be a modest downhill grade, given the water in the stream is flowing toward the camera. But in reality it’s a level stretch of track on a photo diorama.  The background is the view from our back porch.

Hillcrest Bay Firehall

Here’s a photo of a firehall I’ve been working on for my fictional town of Hillcrest Bay. I still have to add some figures, a few more details and weathering on the roof, but I’m calling it 90% done!

Some extreme mileage

That Alleghany Midland unit has some miles on it. How old is that railroad these days?

Thanks Kirk

As far as I know Tony let it go when he built his NKP empire.  Not sure what year what year that was. Maybe someone here knows or I'll ask him.

Thanks again, glad you liked it, Steve

Late November photo

Went trackside on November 29th to the local shortline here just outside of Portland Oregon. It was fun to catch this shortline in action as they run pretty unfrequently as they only work when they have cars for their one customer.

Smoggy day in the narrows

Got this image of a newly shopped SW1200 on a smoggy morning in LA just as it was heading out of Taylor Yard to run over the river to the cornfields.  Or might a been on the last day of switching on my shelf layout which has been put away to make the guest room more inviting for the holidays.  Either one works for me.
