JMRI Help
Hoping to get some JMRI help. I'm beginning to build my layout panel and have a short siding that is fed by a left hand and right hand turnout, which are both controlled by the same facia switch button. That means of course that they both turn to allow entry to the siding or turn to allow traffic on the main to bypass the siding by pressing a single switch.
My question is how do I create that switch situation on my JMRI panel. How can two switches be both open or both thrown at the same time?

Who's going to Prototype Rails this weekend in Cocoa Beach?
Just curious if anybody will be heading over. I'm thinking about going over Saturday.
Who made this HO model
I would like to know what manufacturer made the following model. It is a HO scale model of a Pacific Fruit Express reefer (about 54' scale feet long, low height, pullman green, body mounted couplers). The distinctive feature is the ways the trucks are mounted on the body. There is a 3/16" diameter pin on the truck (it looks sort of like a Commenwealth truck). This pin is about the same height and width. The pin sticks in a hole in the bottom of the car and is held in place with a screw.
Structolite setting time question
I am looking to extend the setting time of Structolite. I read the threads about using baking powder as a retardant for the setting time of plaster,I am wondering if that method will work for Structolite also,or is there something else I can use? If anyone has had experience using Structolite,I'd appreciate any advice or tips that can be offered. I have been using it as a cover layer over plaster gauze, but find I can only mix small batches as it starts to dry quickly and become unworkable over larger areas.
Happy New Year!

Advertising for MRH / LNHS Annual Convention 2016
I recently attended the Louisville & Nashville Historical Society annual convention in Kentucky. We visited the train museum in New Haven, Kentucky and yours truly was were my MRH t-shirt. I had a number of inquiries about what MRH was and shared information about how great MRH is. Photo courtesy of LNHS
Hot Trains?
Joe, HNY, Several years ago (many? ) I got your Hot Trains video disc. I really enjoyed it and since then I have wondered why the concept never took off. I have always been waiting for the next one! Did the project die? I love the MRH and Trainmasters series. Also, are there any more Ops sessions on the horizon? I would like to see the updated BCSJ, and am also a great fan of both the Siskiyou and the Allagash.

Switching Klemptner Salvage on the Richlawn RR - a video
I made a six minute video of switching out gons at the Klemptner Salvage yard. I hope that you enjoy the video. By the way, if you don't like the music you can mute the sound as there isn't any commentary.

Google 3D as a modeling aid
(I just posted this same video link in another thread but thought it might deserve it’s own thread.)
It’s amazing how much modeling information can be gleaned from the low resolution Google 3D viewer. I took some screen video of the Beaumont, TX, Gerdau steel plant (see below). Check out how much structural and scenic information is available including all the variations of color. Very cool.
Note: enlarge the video as much as possible on your screen for greater appreciation of what Google 3D can capture as a modeling aid.

Traveling Professional Modeling Advice
I am a traveling nurse and spend approx. 13 weeks at assignments away from home. This is awesome for general tourism -- railfanning and visiting layouts and such...
How could I easily take some modeling projects with me? Does anyone else have a job like mine? I think I will go stir crazy if I can't piddle with my trains... I thought about taking whatever I could cram in a large tote and work on super detailing a couple of structure kits to be put on the layout when I get home...
I'm just curious what others do?
