Whats new at the Amherst Show?

MRH will be at the Amherst Show ... and I will be there (Joe F). We will have the TOMA layout in the booth, so do stop by if you're at the show! If you like, we'll even hand you a throttle.

Buying sheet styrene

Good day,

I have been a member on MRH for almost 3 years now, but have only made a few posts so far.  Today's post is a request for advice.

When thoughts turn to snow

We spotted a pair of Southern Pacific snow-service SD9Es at Quisling last Saturday (SP 4350 and 4343), teamed up with a Jordan Spreader (SPMW 4030).

AK Interactive Trainspotting book

Anybody here have a copy of this book and care to share a review? Looks like a good weathering resource for all levels, especially for anyone who uses or is interested in using AKI's weathering products. Downside is the 42€ ($45) plus shipping price, hence my curiosity if it's worth the money. Thanks in advance to anyone who has anything to share.

Thoughts on the Seattle WGH Show

On Saturday, myself and Mike Deverell (Colorado Front Range RR) were just about the first two people in the door of the exhibit hall where the Seattle WGH show was being held at the Puyallup Fair.

Locomotive Display Cabinet

I built a locomotive display cabinet for my train room.  I thought I'd share the journey with you.

WGH Seattle: NMRA not present?

Looking through the list of vendors and displays at this weekend's World's Greatest Hobby event in the Tacoma-Seattle area, there's one glaring no-show: the NMRA.

Perhaps I'm missing something. Unless the NMRA's presence is tied together with the WGH exhibit? Could that be the case? I hope so.

Otherwise, it does the NMRA no good to bleat about membership, but not attend a WGH event. Missed opportunity, as I see it. I don't recall seeing anything from my local NMRA about volunteering at a booth.

Any insights?

Dry Transfers....AAAARGHHHH!!! Help? Please?

I have some woodland scenics dry transfers, and I have horrible luck with them.  It seems that I always have a small spot that doesn't transfer...any ideas?

Thanks!

Who's going to the WGH Show in Seattle?

Well, actually it's in Puyallup, not Seattle, this weekend, Saturday and Sunday at the Puyallup Fair (OK, the Washington State Fair -- I'm a diehard, though.)

Lots of layouts and vendors!

I know of three MRHers who will be there.
