I have a question about bridge pilings.........

Hopefully there are some bridge engineers out here that can help.  I am building a plate girder bridge with 2 tracks on it, one standard gauge and one narrow. It is 8 1/2" in O scale (34') wide.  This will be the type with ballast on it.  It spans over a yard that has 3 tracks and will require 2 sets of 5 to 6 pilings for support. I like pilings instead of piers as you can see through them.

A Special Invitation to Some Fun Clinics on Arduinos and Modeling

A special invitation to all interested modelers to 2 special presentations/clinics at the Pacific Northwest Region (NMRA) Convention being held in Portland, Oregon on Friday June 1 and Saturday June 2, 2018:

EMD 567 couple of questions.

I'm just curious. As this type of work is sent else where here in N.D.

 1. If the piston bore diameter is 8 1/2", what is the diameter of the piston sleeve?

So an 1/8" dowel should be about the right piston size, or at least close, right?

My scale ruler reads 9" when I look at it. I haven't seen anything smaller than 1/8" here in N.D.

Also does anyone know, the length of just the piston & With the connecting rod (width & length)?

Detailed railroad maps

Greetings everyone!

I am returning to model railroading after a 20 year hiatus. I model interurbans on O scale and am looking for a map of Milwaukee. WI that shows industrial trackage. In particular I want to see the Milwaukke Road`s industrial trackage on the north side of town. I found some old ariel photos but they are not clear enough. My railroad will be free lanced based on this area.

Thank you in advance,

Mike
