Regarding Patrick wanting design help: update
Several posts back a gentlemen named Patrick asked for help and received several good suggestions regarding designing a simple, shelf railroad. I was one of those who responded and along with others shared good information including some photos of another modelers railroad for clarification.
However, the railroad shown was not mine but one I posted from another, now forgotten site and I want to clarify that it was built by Nick Palette, an O gauge modeler for display/operations at British train shows/meets.

Weekly Photo Fun - Jul 18-24, 2021
It's another week . . . post 'em if you got 'em. There were a few late-comers in last week's post. Check them out, then come back here afterward.
For those who haven't posted photos, or those who haven't posted in awhile, pull out that camera or iPhone and snap a few pics. We'd all like to see what you're doing!

Pre-Order Help for IMRC
Got a general question.
Looking for a retailor that supports IMRC pre-orders.
My go to shop owner has retired, the shop I went to after that no longer accepts pre-orders for IMRC.
Recently IMRC announced that finally the N scale SD45-2s are going into production and are accepting pre-orders till the end of the month. After waiting over 5yrs for one of these I do not want to miss out!!
Thanks for the input in advance.
How to judge a model railroad
how to Objectively judge a Model Railroad. All model railroads are good, there isn't a bad one out there, but how do we recognize when someone has put in a lot of work and their railroad is a beautiful work of art? Today we talk about how to do that.

Seeking someone to convert massive PNG to vector for custom decal print
I'm looking for someone to convert a very large file/sheet of graphics to a true vector format. I was going to do it via Illustrator. I'm working with Mr. Brillinger on this one though, so he recommends it be done in Corel.
Enough proficiency in either app to get the job done works though.

Prototype sound
Brian Moore posted this YouTube video to a couple groups this morning. This features amazing UK steam modeling that is synchronized to prototype sounds.

anyone recognize this building front
Had to tear down layout 10 years ago for a move. While scrounging through old buildings, parts, etc. ran across this building front which I think is awesome. I have all the City Classics but not sure this is one but can't find the lower level parts. Anyone have an idea who original manufacture was or perhaps a picture of a finished model so I might "scratch" together a rfeasonable facsimile? Thanks

For those who went to the Santa Clara virtual convention
This thread is for those on here who DID go to the Santa Clara virtual convention. Let's talk about the experience.
1. What did you like about this convention?
2. What surprised you about this convention?
3. What was your least favorite thing about this convention?
4. Do you have any suggestions for how the next virtual event like this could be made better?
I also invite those who are interested to post questions for the attendees.
Testing a frog juicer
Being that the electronics side of model railroading is my weakest point, I’m hoping the forum can lead me in the right direction. I installed a hex frog juicer on a Fast Tracks hand built diamond crossing on my layout using two outputs for the two isolated frogs. When I added the DCC power to the Hex Frog Juicer, the LEDs on the board all lit. Power input all good, check. When I put my test light between the frog and the opposite rail I had no power to the frog. I tried sliding it back and forth over the gap, simulating a wheel crossing the gap.
