Sizable theft of railroad collection
Received the following text in an email from the PNR of the NMRA; given the breadth of coverage of MRH it occurred to me to post this as an alert should anyone encounter any of these materials. I don't know if MRH has rules pro/con postings like this but if it should help either the original owner or anyone who might unknowingly purchase stolen goods then it seems worth making.

Rt 88 Overpass
Thanks for the Image help everyone. My first direct post, and I am on a LINUX machine. Anyway, I wanted to share the highway overpass I'm scratch building. The paint to still a bit wet, but I'm pretty happy with the overall results.
Image help: Why are photos upside down?
Any idea why, when I paste a .jpg image here, it displays upside down?
USA, Maryland, Baltimore, Model Railroad Open House, Sundays Jun-10, Jul-8, Aug-12, Sep-9, Oct-14, Nov-11, Dec-9 1-5pm
The Baltimore Society of Model Engineers holds monthly open house shows, where visitors can view our two 12 x 65 foot layouts, one is 2-rail O-scale the other is HO. Both layouts run steam and diesel trains, and trolleys off the overhead wire.
Hmmmmmmm........
It has been my personal experience that the true flavor, the real fun, the continuous excitement of work lie in the process of doing it rather than in having it over and done with. |

detached train buildings
I would like to hear from those who have detached building as a train room such as yard barns, ect. I have to admit when I was up north I never liked the idea. The thought of walking out in the cold and through the snow never appealed to me. Now that im down here in Florida Im starting to warm to the idea. Im interested in hearing about problems, size, built on site or pre-built. Ive been thinking about going through a rent to own dealer that delivers the completed structure to your property.
Pocket Watches & Trains, interesting history
You might be a model railroader if...
You might be a model railroader if you walk around your yard collecting leaves from last fall in a garbage bag... and then you store that garbage bag in your basement.
Happy Birthday Joe !
Hopefully you will get to do some fun railroading today...either real or model ( that does NOT include tearing out the Siskiyou ! ). Enjoy the day !

Gear Fix - 3D Print, Resin Cast Or ?
A friend of mine that fixes and sells "previously enjoyed" models asked me if I knew where he could get a replacement gear like shown in the picture, preferably with all the teeth. I told him I'd give a go and see what I could find. This gear drove some kind of model toy engine.
Looking for the collective minds on MRH for an answer. So, anybody have any ideas?
