MRC Tech 4 hand held remote
Just got MRC Tech 4 hand held remote, and it says it is for model 250. Is there any other MRC that will also work with this hand held ? It came with a 6-wire cord with a phone-type plug. Even if I have to wire it to another type of connector, or even hard-wire it to another MRC. Looking for any help. Thanks.
Very First Kato DC N-Scale Track - Trouble Wiring Switches - noob
Hello,
Below is my first layout with N scale Unitrack. The point of contention is with with power being lost when I change either switch ( LH turn 20-207 / RH turn 20-208) by hand, and bring the train on the inside half loop. I've checked the track with a volt meter and sure enough it looks like the power is gone.
I only want to run one engine at a time until I get the hang of this, so there are no isolation joints to the best of my knowledge and I think the switches are set to live-frog.
Any help would be appreciated.
More Uses for 3D Printing Around the Layout
So you have heard all kinds of things about what modelers are doing with 3D printing to assist in their rolling stock, locomotive and structure builds. How about some some more basic items to spruce up your layout?
Wireing layout for DC & DCC
Wire a layout with power feeders on both rails on blocks and insulated joiners on both rails with a DPDT switch can you run a layout on DC or DCC by throwing the switch? Will this cause problems if so what are they? Is there a work around for the problems?

What about MZL ??
Hi,
I was browsing and learned that a progressive cab control system was designed many moons ago under the name MZL.
I have some issues of Model Railroader but I miss the one dated February 1974 with the opening installment of this short serie authored by Ed Ravenscroft.
Maybe someone does have it in .pdf and could send it to me ??
My address = on5py@belgacom.net
Thanks and have a very good year !

Tortoise switch control
Hi, would like to know if it is possible to have a Tortoise switch motor be thrown from two separate location by separate DPDT switches, and if so how would you wire it.
Thanks

Tortoise bus gauge
I have 65 tortoise machines stretched along 130 ft of track. I will be using a 12V 2.5A wall wart. What gauge bus wires do I need? I also have a 12V 1.2A and a 12V 3.5A wall warts available. Would I be better using any 2 of the 3 in order to have the Bipolar DC arrangement suggested by Circuitron? Blayne

Lighting for structures
I am wondering what other's experience has been lighting buildings. I am working on an industrial building that will have interior and exterior lighting.
