Do we have a thread sharing tips and techniques we all discover while modeling. If we do, please point me to it. If not, maybe we could start one.
Testors Dullcote vs Krylon color max clear FLAT not MATTE
I know that there has been much mentioned of this But I am not sure Krylon Colormaxx clear "FLAT KRYSTAL CLEAR" was mentioned, (non yellowing by the way) I recall the "Matte" Krylon being mentioned in thread as " as closest to Testors"...……....HOWEVER today I purchased 11oz of the Krylon Flat at Lowes...$3.98 (11 oz) just for the heck of it.
Digitrax throttles
Hey guys,
What are ya'll using for batteries in your DT402 ? I have tried different brands of rechargeable and regular 9 volt batteries and neither seem to last more than 30 to 45 minutes. Is this normal?

Digitrak problem with programing.
My Digitrax DCC works fine until I try and program my decoder CV. When I enter a new value into a CV the command station goes off line and has to be rebooted a couple of times to restore operation.
So these are my questions for other Digitrax users;
-
Is this problem unique to me?
-
How do you program your decoders?

Working on wood shop.

Evergreen & Plastruct Plastics
I wish I had a whole bunch of Evergreen & Plastruct plastic shapes, strips, and sheet materials,...for kitbashing, etc.
Its difficult to order special size pieces as one, two, etc at a time, and I'm sure shipping is a killer on such small (and often long) sizes.
Does anyone else have a good source for such product?

Strange Question on Static Grass
Has anyone ever tried (or contemplated) mowing the grass? I was thinking (always a dangerous occupation for me) that model lawns never seem right to me. Either the "grass" is flattened or is too high. Was wondering if electric hair clippers could be used with appropriate standoffs to do the trick.
Any other suggestions? (btw-Just ordered the Woodland Scenics Static King, so not just an idle question).
