Where to get Canadian CNR or CP outline trackside equipment

I am building a Fremo module of a Canadian grain handling facility.  Not modeling any one in particular but using details from several.  However I am struggling to find some of the trackside details, like these hand thrown  switch machines in 1:87 scale.

How to Model Aged Wood on Styrene

This week I'm looking at how to make plastic look like aged wood.

Operating duration length

I did a quick search but did not see this topic. What is YOUR ideal operating duration.I was just invited to an operating session on an O scale layout. The schedule is 10AM to 2PM. I am assuming a lunch break so actual operation time is probably 3+ hours . Our club is about the same. Many sessions are longer.Maybe it is my age but I think a two hour session is my ideal time. Many times the travel time sometimes up to 2 hours either way makes longer session to me too much.

Tree Help

Shortly before Christmas, I found a helpful video on YouTube for making N scale evergreen trees.

I'm at the point where I need to start making trees as I haven't found many ready made trees that look good (in N scale that is) so I decided to try the technique in the video.

I attached some pictures in the first response below.

New tree armature?

Hi gang. The other day I spotted an interesting plant. Goldcrest Wilma - Cupressus Macrocarpa.

This plant has a very nice structure that when dried might make a good basis for conifers.

Has anyone ever tried it?

DCC continuity -- another discovery

After repairing the double slip in the yard, I finished reconfiguring my power districts and made a few minor (I thought)  changes to the Loconet plumbing. Ha! When I powered things up, not so good. All of my occupancy zones reported occupied... ooops. Shorting the track in various places made the PM42s trip -- so that was ok. Started checking things -- assumption always is that a new cable was bad... well, I had made a few new cables and changed a couple of existing ones. Got out the little tester and saw right away that railsych was missing on both branches of my network.

Combine construction completion challenge

Keeping with my theme of starting but never finishing modelling projects, I have started work on a resin BGR Group kit of a CN/VIA passenger combine.  These started life as colonist coaches in the teens and 1920's when Canadian Northern (a CN predecessor) ordered a pile of these cars on the expectation that immigration to western Canada would continue as it had in the pre WW1 period.  This didn't happen so many of the colonist coaches were rebuilt into combination passenger and baggage cars for service on secondary passenger trains and mixed trains.

Seeking guidance on new layout room prep and valence design

RR Circkits Watchman

I'm struggling with the installation of an RR Cirkits Watchman for use with block detection on my layout.

I've configured the watchman according to the instructions and have wired it to a single CT Coil attached to a drop feeder on one of the blocks I've set up on the layout.  What I can't figure out how to do from the manual directions is how to 'read the signal' from the CT Coil and have it change the state of the block on my JMRI control panel schematic to show the occupied block.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
