Any Database Programmers Out There?

I have been working on a waybill generation program off and on for quite a few years.  I'm using Visual Basic 6 to do this.  Presently the program uses one database with many tables, some of which contain "static" data, others with the "dynamic" stuff.

CP ore cars update

It's been a while since I updated my progress on the ore car fleet I'm building. I've been documenting their construction on my blog.  I just finished putting all of the underbody details on all of the cars. The Sylvan kit employs lots of wire and small resin parts that are combined to create the various components of the brake system. Here's a sample of what each car looks like belly-up.  They're still not finished, but I'm getting close!

Hi all

scratch building an N Scale Transfer Table

Hi all, I don't know if this has been discussed before by anyone else here, but I have been looking all over the internet for information on scratch building an N scale locomotive/railcar transfer table. Unfortunately there is nothing to be found anywhere online, so I figured maybe someone here might have a suggestion or two in regards to this query. Any and all ideas are much appreciated.

thanks in advance.

An American Garratt

I have these two USRA 0-6-0's sitting around waiting for a project. It's always dangerous when I have models without a specific project in mind.  Add to that time spent in a hotel room, waiting to be called for a train, and well..

This is what happens.  I kind of like it, actually.  I tried to make it so that it would (just) fit on an Atlas 9" turntable, in case I ever actually build this little beastie.

Removing Factory Lettering

I have an Atlas GP38 factory painted in Southern. I want to change the number, one to better reflect a GP38AC ( I am not into cutting fuel tanks to be correct SR GP38) and to avoid conflict with another locomotive with the same number at our club.

What is the best way to remove the factory number so I can renumber the unit? I have the SR decals to renumber the locomotive.

Thank you for any input and advice.

Blessings

Domino Staging Yards

I have been working on my Kansas City Southern (HO scale) layout.  I am using domino construction and as I add new sections (dominoes) to the layout, I move my Ënd of Track  staging yard.  Not only is the staging yard movable, but it can easily be re-configured.
