Unfinished projects
I'm hoping I'm not alone. I can't seem to finish a project. I have 2 major projects on the go that are just sitting collecting dust. I keep putting them aside for one reason or another and can't seem to get back into them. One is a salvage/scrap dealer that has several small structures and the other is a locomotive detail project that is ready for paint. Right now all I seem to want to do is DCC and electronics projects instead of modeling.
Wondering if others suffer from project stagnation? I am very envious of those who post their completed projects.

A Bit of Scenery
SCRAP YARD! I have some more "tweaking" to do, but here is the start of the first scenery portion of the new layout. Lights have to be connected as this is a 24 hr operation which gives my switching crews plenty to do - LOL. More landscaping and perhaps a few more figures will help detail it further.

Algoma Central Railway Scratchbuilt and Kitbashed Rolling Stock
One of the interesting challenges of modeling a prototype railroad, particularly a lower profile non-Class I, is correctly modeling the rolling stock of the railway.
The Algoma Central Railway ran through almost 300 miles of pure wilderness in the northern part of the Canadian province of Ontario, serving primarily mining and forestry industries and a large steel mill at the southern terminus of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
First Post - Painting Track - Colour Testing
After a couple of years of following other modelers blogs and reading everyone's tips, tricks, how to's etc, I've finally decided to post something I've started working on.
Feedback, tips, tricks (especially for masking the rail), etc. are always helpful and appreciated.
Headlight on Athearn Locomotives
I was wondering if there is anyway to reattach the light holder to the frame? I've tried liquid weld with no success, Any suggestions?

Tsunami decoder vs. QSI Titan
Good evening! I have a question about sound decoders. I have 3 Atlas C420's, two of them with QSI Titan and one that has a Tsunami replacement for the QSI. The C420 with the Tsunami is one smooth runner. It's excellent!!!! The two with the QSI Titan lurch quite a bit while running a slow speeds and also slow down quite a bit in a couple of curves. Is this due to the motor control of a QSI decoder vs. the Tsunami?

Layout build progress... Introduction
I never started a blog before but here goes... I am going to use the blog just to throw stuff out there, and see what sticks. Sort of my own "build progress thread". Comments and suggestions are welcome. And happy to answer any questions- can't say I am doing things right but willing to share anything and everything.
A bit of background.
DCC Decoder installation
I have three older engines that I need to get converted to DCC. I need to know if anyone knows someone that can do this who is in or near the Dallas,Tx area. I really do not want to send my locomotives out to anyone.
Thanks

Eureka Valley Narrow Gauge Railroad
My scratch built O scale Eureka Depot was inspired by an ad that appeared way back in the October 1980 Model Railway Craftsman magazine for the Horseshoe Meadows kit, then marketed by Railway Engineering Agency. I've got a collection of photos, plans, etc that I've collected over many years, and find these a useful source of ideas for new structures and scenes. This depot is built to fit a particular space/location using a foam core substructure and slips of card painted and grained to simulate weatherboards.
