Modeling topic

Old New Project
It has been quite some time since I last posted to my blog. I have not been up to much over the winter , certainly nothing I thought was worth sharing. Most of the models I have built are based on that which is near to where I live. So it is HBM&S or HBRY mostly. While some choose to build specific places and time, I just like to build what interests me.
Missouri Pacific Railroad, Willioughby, Arkansas Branch
Started work on what will be the largest structure on my layout. This will be kit bashed with a modern warehouse that has seen expansion over the decades.
Cheap foam core
Hey all, I was in Michael's today to pick up some illustration board per Lances blog and they have foam core on sale for 99 cents. 20 by 30 by 3/16. Normally 2.99. I figured I can always use it. Just thought I'd pass it on.

Realistic handheld diesel control stand throttle
The photo below shows the current state of progress on our ProtoThrottle, a realistic wireless control stand for diesel modelers. NOTE: we will be demonstrating the throttle at the St. Louis RPM meet June 23 & 24. Please look for the Iowa Scaled Engineering booth.

Turnout control on the RMR
Unfortunately some of my Micro Engineering turnouts have turned out to be less than reliable when thrown by hand, so I decided to try some Bullfrog mechanisms instead. Yesterday I made one Bullfrog unit, and made a recessed panel for five turnout controls. I'm quite pleased with the result, although this means a lot more work. One down - a lot more to go...
Has anybody else had problems with the ME turnouts? Of the last batch of 6 I bought, the spring mechanism only worked on 2 of them. Poor quality control?

Tutorial - Cleaning & Maintenance for Märklin locomotives
Hi!
How to clean wheels & slider, check and replace the rubber tires, disassemble and make full motor maintenace of Märklin locomotives. The tutorial includes both AC-locomotives, DELTA- and the different generations of DIGITAL locomotives. All in one! A problem-solver if your Märklin locomotives are stopping without reason, not starting, going too fast (strong) or too slow (weak).

Vallejo Paint and Walthers Solvaset
I almost had a disaster. I sprayed some Vallejo paint over 48 hours ago. Tonight I am decalling. I have always only used Walthers Solvaset. Tonight I used Microscale's MicroSet first, floated the deal on and when I was happy with the placement, plastered the Walthers Solvaset to it. I used Solvaset because I understand it is stronger and I am going over some rivet detail with an old Champ decal. I figured old school chemicals for an old school decal. I got a splot of Solvaset over to the side and used a Q-Tip to gently blot it up.

Where the best place to sell/trade HO trains
I have a very old train set that I bought from a friend a few years ago. It is from the 1960s. I wanted to know where the best place would be to put ads out to sell some of the trains to get the best exposure. Please be specific as possible. I am located in Maryland.
Thanks

Weathering with Mike Confalone: Diesel project 1: D&H U23B, p1
In volume 2 of this weathering series, Mike Confalone weathers diesel locomotives. For project 1, Mike weathers the D&H "Gray Ghost" U23B. In part 1, Mike reviews prototype photos and then first highlights the details with an oil shadowing wash, then weathers various hood details using PanPastels. Part one of two.
