And this is why we are losing hobby shops

So, yesterday I score a SW7 Calf (Powered) to go with my IC SW7 Cow(powered).  Now the calf is the wrong railroad (B&O), so it needs to be repainted, and BOTH units need to be renumbered.

Good news is the calf already has the white stripes in the correct position for my IC railroad, and the rest of the engine is flat black, except for the numbers.

(And I have a guy to send the pair to for DCC installation.)

BLUE RIDGE & SOUTHERN RAILROAD

Outstanding model railroad built and operated by Doug Farner in Northwest, AK.  This model railroad is part of a group called Hograils.  In the coming months I will post videos of most of the current and pass model railroads in this operations group.  I will create a playlist on my YT Channel for these railroads under the title. of HOGRAILS.

Contemplating Noyes again on the BNML

Opinions wanted...

Operationally, at Noyes MN, the CPR crosses the CNR and junctions with the BNSF.

Generally speaking there has been no interchange traffic at Noyes between the BNSF and CPR for many years. Although it has happened, only recently and only once that I have heard, that a BNSF train on it's way to Winnipeg has used the Junction and traversed the CP line instead of taking the BNLM trackage on it's way to the big smoke.

R/C Plus Battery Power

I think we need another category in the 'Post Category" of "R/C-B Electrical" since it looks like this is getting popular.

Here's an almost plug-n-play R/C Battery powered system from Australia. I always ask myself why is it always over seas  companies that produce things like this? http://www.rcs-rc.com/

Depot kit help

Does anyone know if there’s a structure kit available that would come close to the depot photos attached? I need to build an accurate model of the depot and it would be nice to find a kit that comes close which I could modify for accuracy.

A beautiful day in the neighborhood...

...for a Trolley!

Trolley

"Scrapbashed" from a Bachmann N-scale Brill trolley and mated to a Kato 11-104 powered chassis (with the ends trimmed off).  Will be mated with a 2'x2' N-scale microlayout version of the HO-scale train set that used to open/close Mister Rogers' Neighborhood TV show.

Fixing Roadbed Mistake

After I laid my roadbed I decided I wanted to superelevate my track. It would have been easier before I load the roadbed. My first attempt was by laying 1/4" masking tape along the curve and adding layers of masking tape for the superelevation. It looked like it was going to work fine. I came back the next day and found the masking tape had pulled away from the roadbed. I must have stretched the tape as I put it down and it shrunk overnight causing it to peel off.
