PDF files to MRH pages

I am seeking some advice on how to attach a PDF file to this web page, I just tried to attach a PDF file to another member's topic to provide some requested information and wasn't able to do so within the complicated system that is required to post any attachments beyond photos to this page. I don't use Microsoft Word because it's too expensive and difficult for someone like me that is not into technology. Jim

Missing event notices

I was just checking for my old event notices so I could create a new one, since the information doesn't change much and I'm lazy, didn't want to retype everything, but I can't find it.

Also there are very few notices, and I thought there was a sticky one that told you how to format your posts.  Did these old events get lost to the malicious spam marker from months back?

Thanks

MRH Menu Bar on Ipad

I am having a slight problem with the way the MRH website displays on my IPad (using Safari and IOS 9.3.1).

Underneath the MRH logo at the top of the screen is a line of 8 and a bit ads for Trainmastermodels.com.  Yesterday I was trying to access one of your advertisers but that line of ads is in the way.

On my PC running Win 10 your website displays perfectly and shows the top Menu Bar (Magazine Advertisers Goodies etc) as expected.

New mark as spam link policy

Okay, we had another mark-as-spam flurry this time, and it has proven another theory we've been working under: someone logged in and has deliberately attacked our site with the intent of "doing us dirty".

The first time, it looks like they managed to hack a user account that was a few months old. When we contacted the user, he claimed he had not logged in for over a month, yet we could see the user logged in 6 hours earlier and then went hog wild spamming posts.

Mark as spam link - proper use

Recently we've had several instances of new MRH forum members who do not understand how the mark as spam link works. They think the link is private - meaning they can mark threads as spam and the threads will disappear from only their view of the forum.

However, that's not how the link works. The mark as spam link unpublishes the posts for EVERYONE.

Suggested Modification to Discussion Format

Hi,

This is not meant to be critical but hopefully a "good idea" suggestion.  I think the Blogs and Discussion forums here on the MRH site are absolutely terrific.  I've learned a lot from them and seen a lot of great modeling.  Also, there is a definite and  welcomed absence of trolls!

How to Correct a Linked Video on the MRH Forum

When you link to a Youtube video from MRH, the forum software automatically tried to embed the video so it can be watched directly in the post.  This is great except it does it wrong and many users browsing the forums with tools other than a Desktop PC or Laptop cannot see the video, they just see part of the link.

The bad video post looks like this:

Cannot open MRH node links

I am a new subscriber, so that may be the REAL cause of my problems.  I can view the magazine perfectly, and click on the manufacturers links fine.  But when I click on a link that has more information, for example mrhmag.com/node/22469 I cannot see it.  CHROME says "This webpage is not available" and IE says "This page can't be displayed."  The same thing for MRH videos.  I have tried it on a Windows 7 computer and a Chromebook.  I followed your suggestions on troubleshooting downloading your magazine, but zilch.
