MRH connection not secure according to Firefox, Chrome

Both Firefox (version 53) and Chrome are complaining about the MRH website connection not being secure.  Tried using https: with FF and got nowhere.

How about adding a moderated links page?

Surfing the web I run across interesting and useful railroad and modeling sites, frequently by following links on the "Links" page of most web sites.  It would be great to have a "Links" page here with noncommercial sites vetted for quality and suitability.  Commercial sites can pay to advertise. Sites like R.

How to use your forums?

I'm fairly new to posting on your forum site, and I am trying to learn how to use it, as it appears quite different from a number of other boating forums I have participated in over the past 10+ years.

1) When I make a posting to a particular subject thread, how do I "quote" the posting, or a portion of that other posting, in my posting,...so someone knows what particular passage/message I am responding to??

2) I can't seem to be able to utile the old mouse click functions of "copy then paste' ?

Photo uploader not working

I'm attempting to upload some photos to the server and am having no luck.  I've tried from two different computers on different connections with no success.  As well, when I try to browse the server the pop up window goes to the MRH home page instead of the file list that usually comes up.  Is there something wrong with the website?

"An auto saved version ... would you like to compare content ..." HUH?

Apparently the auto-save function is intended to save your material if a long post is interrupted before it is completed. But I don't understand why this message comes up spontaneously some time after I've already made a post, and all I'll doing is looking at the thread again.

Is there a tool or simple way to download an entire MRH blog?

Is there a tool or some simple method for downloading the entire contents of a MRH blog?  There are a few of them I'd like to keep in a binder of hard copies (sorry, but I don't have a tablet or smart phone to use nor the visual acuity for really small print).  I'm not fond of the idea of trying to do it page-by-page if that can be avoided.  Sorry if this post is a repeat of some conversation somewhere (especially so if I posted on the topic and have forgotten...).

Any way to keep certain posts as favorites?

I was looking and maybe there is a way, if so I can't find it. A save or favorite button tied to your account so returning to a particular post you would like to follow in the future or refer back to at a latter date?

Your connection is not secure?

Got this message trying to go to this link (doing research on switch machines):

MRH policy change on back issues

We're making a slight policy change on MRH back issues: you have to be a subscriber to access.

Getting subscribers is a huge plus for us since the larger the number the easier it is for us to get advertisers. So more subscribers = more advertisers = more secure future for your favorite forever free model railroading magazine.

This means we're making a few things like back issues a subscriber-only benefit. Since subscribing is free, we don't see that as too much to ask.

Unlimited back issue access is one more big benefit to subscribing.
