Automobile Traffic Lights Animation with the Arduino Pro Mini…..MIA

My Blog, “Automobile Traffic Lights Animation with the Arduino Pro Mini”, posted on Christmas Day, 2014, is not longer available on the Recent Posts Index.  http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/20766

The only way I can access it is to click on that node and then log in.  If I log in first and then click on the node it’s as if I never made any Blog or any comment at anytime.  Hands out, palms up, weird look on my face.  It’s not set to private – I just checked.

Spam

The other night I was reading and I think instead of hitting reply I hit the spam button on s post or two. This was totally inadvertently as I would not do that intentionally. If your posts are missing it may have been my clumsy  fingers. contact Joe maybe he can fix it, I am truly sorry.

Making the MRH website more mobile-friendly

The editor upgrade fixes the goofy cursor jumping around problem that's been reported on mobile devices.

We also added a rotate feature to the image browser, so if your mobile device shows the image in a strange orientation, now you can fix it.

These latest changes also correct the recent tendency of the file browser to make the image darker if it needed to alter the image in any way (like resize it). The new rotate command also would potentially darken the image if we had not corrected this problem.

So we're all good (until the next thing ...)

Merry Christmas!

Experimental - the new MRH info hub

As part of our new-and-improved MRH in 2015, we're rolling out the new MRH info hub.

Here's a preview ...

This will also be available as an app in the Apple app store and in the Google Play store for Android.

Good Job

Joe just wanted to wish you and the MRH crew a happy Christmas and a great New Year. Also take this time to say that this last year of the online magazine has been great with fantastic articles and documentation. I also subscribed to Trainmaster TV this year and have been very happy with that and what you are planning for 2015.

So I guess that is enough sucking up to you... How about a free month of Magazine Subscription!!

MRH website maintenance Tue 12-23: 11pm Pacific COMPLETE

The MRH website will be going off line for maintenance tonight at 11pm Pacific Time. We expect the site to be down for about 15 minutes.

We will be upgrading the WYSIWYG editor. Improvements include fixing the strange cursor positioning problems in some browsers and adding an auto save every 30 seconds to your browser cache so you don't lose a long post if you get logged out mid-post.

This should also make it a lot easier to post images from mobile devices, since the cursor positioning problems make it very difficult to do now.

Server outage

Our hosting provider had some network issues so our site was down for a couple hours, but it's back now.

Thanks for your patience.

Magazine issue landing pages in recent posts

We apologize for all the MRH issue landing pages in recent posts - the recent site upgrade we did broke some download links (they moved) so we had to finish updating the magazine download pages to make sure everything works again.

We want you to get your back issues without any problem - that's our policy, back issues are forever!

Corrections to the issue download page links

You may notice a lot of 2012 issue landing pages listed in Recent Posts ... that's because we needed to correct the download wizard links. The last update we did a few weeks back broke those links on the landing pages. The Back Issue page is fine, but these individual landing page links were broken.

They're fixed now!
