Scenery - Structures

Small coaling facility

I've been reading and posting the odd comment for over a year now, so it's probably time to start a blog of my own.  I've just put together a small coaling facility.  It's a bit out of the ordinary, so I thought it might be of interest.

N scale Farm structures

I figure I will just throw this out there and see what kind of response I get. I will be building a farming scene (in N scale) and want to know of any available kits out there for a barn, a farm house and any other out-buildings, etc., that people know about. There are some standard kits out there, but recent posts and MRH articles showed me that there might be kits or manufacturers out there that I haven't even heard of. The era is 70s/80s as well, so I'm not really interested in anything that would have been built in the last 25-30 years.

a little road construction and Scenery

Hey gang

I have been busy working on the railroad adding this road and a little scenery.  The roads are made from styrene with auto body filler to smooth out the sides. I still have some airbrushing of the tire marks to do so I can complete scene!

thanks  for looking Paul B

Are you mocking me!

Mocking up some foam core buildings  to make sure everything fits.

This is the Green Bay & Westerns Norwood yard roundhouse and back shops,  This yard is the main focus on my layout everything starts out from here.

Joe or Charlie

For Joe or Charlie

Looking at Feb Mag issue and usually I go directly to the articles I started at the cover this time and what caught my eye was Don Spiro's layout and what I saw there was as it looks to me is a retaining wall just across the tracks looking like granite cut stone. I believe these are cut pieces of floor linoleum tile painted or stained to look like rock cuts. Can anyone confirm.
