Misc Structures on the 8th Sub

I've been working on some structures so I can get a better handle on the composition of Junction City's downtown.  Before finalizing locations of streets, parking lots and so on I wanted to make some progress on a few things.  None of this stuff is really "done" yet, as I still need to do more weathering, window glass, light baffles to block views through building interiors, and various other items.

Car float apron track details

I have built the Walthers Cornerstone car float kit 933-3152. The car float apron kit 933-3068 is unavailable. Can anyone provide track details from this apron such that I can build my own apron..?

Water for a Large Harbor Scene

Our Club is putting in a large oval (5' by 6' 41/2") harbor. It took a little over 40 lbs. of plaster mixed with 8 gallons of water to cover the base of the harbor with a 3/16" thick layer of plaster. This large of an area will be especially hard to cover with Envirotex Lite.  After painting the base, I was thinking of using a couple layers of no buff floor wax as the base with gloss heavy gel medium for waves on top of the floor wax coats.

Has anyone tried this before, or does anyone know of a reason why this will not work?

Fuel Dealer Photos

I recently found myself in eastern Colorado.  I was able to get a few hours to wander around looking for industries to photograph, and found remnants of an older fuel dealer adjacent to the BNSF in Lamar.  The location suggested it used to have rail service.

need containers????

this is a product review of an item that is new to me. about 2 weeks ago i received an email from Lord Maurice asking me if I'd do a review of his product. these are made of card stock & when assembled they are pretty strong. as i mentioned in the vid, A sharp or new exacto blade should be used. they are nicely detailed for what they are. some have slight weathering & door hinges are printed in. this is an easy & affordable way to fill up your IM yard
