Completed Grain Elevator

Well a week ago I figured I would be done with this in a couple days. Between being busy in real life and grossly underestimating the amount of work I had left, I just finished the grain elevator this evening. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. The silos, headhouse, and shed are still separate pieces until I fine-tune their location on the layout.

N. Brown Fruit Storage

Began working yesterday on a new scratch built structure - N. Brown Fruit Storage - which will be adjacent to the Parks Coal Shed. I have chosen to give this business a run down look, as it will soon be put out of business by the modern Georgian Bay Fruit Growers Co-operative building (which I have yet to model).

East or West

Is it just my imagination or is it harder to find backdrop type photos of western buildings than eastern structures, but the opposite when it comes to rural photos?  Perhaps I am not looking in the right places online, but most flats, or background urban shots seem to feature eastern areas, whereas finding background shots of mountains or scenery is pretty even Stephen.

Fascinating. Will use something like this myself.

Cornhill & Atherton - "The Wedding Cake"

This blog is going to cover my efforts to stop a helix looking like a wedding cake.

I am doomed to fail……………

However, my objective is to use every trick, tool and all advice given along the way, to minimize the visual problem that a helix presents.

Victorian and Edwardian figures formodeling the 1890-1910 period

A UK model maker has commenced producing some figures from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period.

He has been making them in OO scale, but now is going to produce them to HO scale.  On the left are OO figures and on the right HO.

His work can be seen on his website at acstadden.co.uk or anyone interested can email him directly through the website.
