Can your sound decoder replicate this? (EMD 645-16, SD40-2 Rev up/dn)

I was describing to somebody a sequence of sound that I wish the RailPro decoder could do and they said, "Can other decoders do what you are describing?"

I suspect the answer is yes, but since I have no experience with other systems, I am looking to you to provide some examples...

Favorite DCC sound decoder(s)/settings for geared logging locos

I'm making decisions and assembling the necessary materials to add DCC sound to some of my HO geared logging locomotives (shays, climax, heisler). As much as I would love to use TCS WOW decoders they apparently do not support shay (not sure about climax and heisler) chuff rates without resorting to cams. There is also no support for rod clank and other drive train sounds.

Would B&O EM-1's been assigned in the Pittsburgh, PA area?

I am modeling western PA, circa 1953, and plan on modeling an interchange with the B&O eventually. I may even model a part of one of the B&O yards (I thought I saw three on a map, but I might have misread it). I plan on modeling a representation at least of their Union Station, since the P&A Passenger trains will be terminating there.

Hi All, We picked up an Amtrak Kato F40PH with a Kobo/factory installed LokSound Select decoder a few months ago. We are now looking at putting in separate ditch lights (currently they are lit by the headlight on the light board with everyting else.)

In looking at the decoder manual, AUX1 and AUX2 are the green and violet wires. Green is already connected to the light board, but the violet is not still loose.

Was hoping to get some feedback about the weathering on this car. Trying to go for fairly lightly weathered, with mostly streaking down the sides. Any improvements that can be made?
