What styrene glue won’t stick to?

Making my first styrene building. I need to glue pieces together on a flat surface. The glue is sticking to the glass. Is there a surface that testors plastic cement will not stick to.

Neon Lights?

Folks,

Wondering if anyone has used LED black lights similar to the ones in the link below, combined with fluorescent type paint, to try to make neon-like signs?

Miller Engineering's animated signs are great - I've already used several - but they of course are limited to what they offer.  If someone wanted to make custom business/industry "neon-like" signs, I was thinking of using some individual letters on a framework, painted with fluorescent paint, and illuminated by black lights.

Anyone tried this idea?

Looking for 1920s-1930s vehicles

DIY static grass tufts

I was watching a Luke Towan video on making static grass tufts:

https://youtu.be/iFXgSky6JMU

In it he mentions what sounds like "gap filling sand."  Maybe I didn't understand him correctly because of his accent?  If I did understand him correctly, what is gap filling sand?  Is it available at big box hardware stores like Home Dept and Lowes?

Ground foam rolls off

What is a good adhesive to use to put ground foam on a steep slope so it sticks immediately and not roll off?

Looking for Northern Pacific Indian Red paint

I'm looking for a "close enough" match for Northern Pacific Indian Red. Preferably Badger Modelflex. It doesn't need to be exact, just close.

Transfer Tape

Anyone know if there is there is a difference between the the Scotch 465 transfer tape FOS Scale Models recommends to adhere paper signs to structures and the Scotch 924 ATG Tape Micromark sells?

Hairspray and sand

I finally found a ground cover for the mountain ridge. I bought a bag of lowes general purpose sand, baked it at 30 mins at 450.i brushed the scene with white glue than cover with the sand.once the glue is dried I used a small brush and swept the loose sand off for reuse in touching up spots. Next I'm going randomly glue shrubbery on. Once everything is dried is it a good idea to spray hairspray over the scene to keep any dust down ?

Speaking of static grass...

A question for the more experienced static grass masters. When using the Peco, WSS, or other layering spray to apply successive longer fibers, Is it advisable to dilute the adhesive? I have replicated Kathy's results as shown in her video using 2.5mm, 4mm, and 7mm fibers but the process was quite frustrating.
