FALL Super Trees?

Has anyone created any Fall colored trees using Scenic Express Super Trees? My next layout will feature Fall scenery and I'm trying to make a decision on the trees. So far all the HO commercial Fall trees I've seen are......well......much less than acceptable. The Super Trees look great but I haven't seen anyone do them in Fall colors.

Thanks,

Roger Huber

Junk Up Your Scene

I saw this photo on the Baby Boomer Freight Car Yahoo Group:

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/bbfcl/info

Being discussed was the B&O boxcar.  My vision was drawn to all the neat "junk" behind.

3D Art

This seems simple enough, but it really blew my mind ... thinking there has to be some way to use this on a model railroad?

Walthers modular cornerstone kits

Did they stop making the modular kits? I looked on a Walthers website and all I seen was chimney kits and roof kits.

"Completed" scenery (I wish)

Hey all,

Last night I was able to "finish" a scene on the Great River Railway Club layout last night and thought I'd share a before and after picture of the area. What blew my mind, was that it only took about a month to do this scene. (BTW, come check us out on Facebook for more pictures and progress)

So anywho, here's the Before:

Whisper Air Compressor

I own an Iwata air brush with an old loud pump and I'd like something quieter, has anyone tried out the Whisper Air Compressor?

Adding a farm scene made easy.

So I completed another puzzle, Autumn Ride which is a Famous Artist Collection puzzle. This puzzle is of a nice farm scene which I thought I might be able to use on my Grants Pass Western railroad. I scanned, reduce the picture size and cut out the parts I wanted to use. As the trees were of an autumn scene, the trees and sky had to go as well as the bottom part which was going to be out of scale. I also cut out the pond on the left hand side.

Woodland Scenics C1311 Curved Tunnel

Hello there !

I'm planning to buy a Woodland Scenics C1311 Curved Tunnel for my small H0 layout.

In fact, I'm a poor builder. That's the reason why I'm looking at this tunnel.

All your advices are welcome ! Many thanks in advance.

Have a better day than ever !

Building Horse Thief Canyon

Down below the bridges at Hanging Rock is a deep, serpentine defile known to the locals as Horse Thief Canyon. It's a classic Southwestern "slot" canyon, much narrower than it is wide; the kind often found worming back into the sandstone cliffs of Thunder Mesa country. This particular slot canyon is about 72 scale feet deep but only averages about 12' wide. A perfect hideout for horse thieves and rustlers - as long as it isn't flash flood season.

Super Trees Review

Trees, One of the probably most boring if not dreaded repetitive tasks needed for model railroading. So what solution is there one not extremely expensive easy solution is the Scenic Express Super Trees. With a little bit of patience and practice you can get a few dozen done in less than an hour!
