Atlas Custom Line Turnouts

Atlas Custom Line turnouts question. Anyone care to describe the differences between Mark 2, 3 and 4. I have several of each (#6) and would like to know before using them. I have both Code 100 and 83.

Thanks

Kato 90/43 MAC and decoder

Installed relative Digitrax decoder in my loco. Before replacing body shell ran loco and it performed as expected.

Replaced body shell and all I got from the loco was a slight lights flicker.

Removed shell and it runs perfectly. Any suggestions?

Want to add a Power light to my sidings with a LED

The only way it lights up is if a Loco is on the track and then it does not power up the Loco.

Do I need to change the type of switch or is not possible, to just show power on the siding?

Thanks for any insight

Power Pax

From reading posts on here I see several members have the Power Pax power booster. A member of this board has offered me his surplus booster but doesn't have the wall transformer. Can someone check out their unit and give me the power numbers (voltage, amps) off the unit?

I don't want to centre anyone out, but will publically thank the member for his kind offer. This site has to be the best.

Powering your locos with batteries: is it possible?

I've heard rumors, but I'm not sure how to make it work. Placing a battery/batteries inside a loco, wiring it up and using a controller of some sort to make it go forward/backward. Is this possible? If so, how please? I hate wiring anyway (because frankly, I stink at it), so anything I can do to make my locos run with a minimum of wiring/soldering works for me!

Loco stalling over the frog

This has probably been answered many moons ago over a very high mountain, but it's buried by now. I have a problem with an Athearn GP-9 stalling at slow speed over the frogs of turnouts. I've heard that there is a solution using either clear nail polish or nail polish remover, but I'm not sure which. If one of you kind gentlemen can give me the correct answer, I'd appreciate it.

Tsunami Sound

Okay, I've got several sound equipped locomotives, and have for some time. But, oddly enough, no Tsunami's or Soundtraxx of any sort.

Until tonight.... I bought one last weekend as a "Okay, I survived another Army Reserve Annual Training" self-present.

Okay, now I know what you guys are talking about. That is nice sound. I'm going to have to go in and see what I can do to tweak the others now....

A car for your layout or track

Here you go. For you guys with iPhones. Put flanged wheels on it and run it down the track. It'll give a whole new meaning to track maintenance vehicle.
