Modeling old track that makes small trains roll and rock back and forth
Hello all, has anyone tried to model old short lines or branch lines with bad trackwork? With dips and rises when laying the track (handlaid). Now I am not talking a huge deal, say .010 to .015 inch with small shims staggered about. Have seen some lines on YouTube that were really bad, but looked really cool watching the small train rocking and swaying back and forth. Just spit balling here guys. Thoughts God Bless Ya Dave

Neopixel Building Lighting
Has anybody used Neopixels to light their structures? Looks like you can use an Arduino Nano to both power and control them individually including light intensity and color. I ordered some to mess with, but was wondering what if any experience anyone on here had with them.
I ran across this video that made me aware of the technology: >
NCE Power Cab Cable
My cable to my NCE Power Cab broke. Can I just go to Best Buy and buy another cable, or is this one specific to NCE????
Thanks
Tim
Bus or not?
For a DCC layout of size 11' x 8' which is essentially an oval, would you run a power bus around it or just put the power supply in the middle and run feeders radially outwards to, say, four sections of soldered track, each representing a quarter of the layout?

Rapido ATSF B36-7
Saw one of these impressive locos at my club today and was astounded by the roof top rotary beacon. It looked as if it were actually a rotating beacon when viewed from all angles, including straight down. Any information on these lights?

ESU brake squeal
Does anyone know what CV turns the brake squeal on? I bought a Walthers SD60M and it squeals when it stops, it's very cool!
Need wiring info for MRC Decoder
Any one know the wiring for this MRC Decoder, photo below.

Outdoor occupancy detector for 7 1/4 gauge?
Any ideas for an occupancy detector for an outdoor ride-on railroad?
We would like a trigger for the grade crossing of the club's 7 1/4 gauge RR
I don't know if an infrared motion detector would detect a train car backing up - that would be at ambient temperature.
Double Slip Switch
I have a couple of double slip switches in my layout. For operating sessions, I'm thinking I should do some kind of visual quick reference on my fascia in front of the switches for people who are not familiar with the operation of one. Wondering what any of you have already done that has been helpful. I use the Peco throws built into the switch, no switch machines. Thanks.

DCC Specialties PSX-1 Question
My railroad is an end-to-end dog bone type and I use DCC Specialties PSX-1 circuit breakers with Tam Valley power boosters in each power district (one at each lobe of the dog bone and one in the middle. All of my turnouts are servo driven and are all controlled using JMRI through an NCE PowerCab (the PowerCab doesn't do much more than put signal on the track).
