Track and electrical/DCC

Never Stall
I just noticed this in the May NMRA bulletin. Has anyone used it? I am constantly striving for zero locomotive stalls due to track and loco condition so it piqued my interest.
Any info on adding Sound without upgrading to DCC?
I'm have an old style DC railroad on which I would really like to add sound to my diesels. Are there any good ways to do this? Or would I have to go with a sound system that is not onboard?
Thanks, any help would be appreacted,

Seen this tool before
Do not tell me this is the Rail Bender from Fast Tracks, I know that.
Has anyone seen the original of this tool before. Seems to me I saw the original before and trying to find out what it was used for.
Some type of wire forming tool or a fretwire bender comes to mind. Just curious if anyone recalls having seen it before. I had done some research and found an identical tool, but darned if I can find it now.
The scaling on it tells me this was not meant for bending rail, originally
Digitrax block detectors and ABS rules
I'm finishing up my layout design (www.palouseandelkriverrailroad.blogspot.com) and reworking signal placement, sidings, and staging before I draw up the final draft. I am not planning on using a computer or laptop for signal control so I have a few questions after searching around on the web I have not been able to get the answers I am looking for. I dont have much experience in wiring block detection yet so I apologize in advance if these are elementary questions and if they are I'd appreciate it if som
A solution for a problem... TVD solution retired, ISE successor?
Dear MRH Team,
I have a layout design/control issue, which I need a solution for.
I _think_ I know how I'd deal with it, but in the spirit of being "open to new ideas/options",
I though I'd run it past the brains-trust here.
Tortoise and Peco Electrofrog wiring
Hi
I’m just getting started and having trouble understanding how to wire Peco (Electrofrog) switches, Tortoise switch motors together with switches and LEDs for my control panel. I am including a diagram i have made.
Is this diagram correct? Is my math concerning the current, voltage and resistance correct? Have missed something?
How do you test your track's power...?
How do you test your trackwork to make sure it's getting the best power (volts/amps/watts/ohms...??) possible....? What kind of tool do you use, and what readings should I be looking for...? I fear my trackwork is a little suspect when I get a very dim headlight on my engine, and the engines don't go very fast even with the throttle all the way up.
Decoder Pro
I have a question regarding copying files from one loco data set to make a new loco data set. My problem is when you first set up a file you have to indicate which decoder and model you are using. I want to copy this file over but I will be using a different model decoder, and for Tsunami, it simply means different sounds, all other aspects of CV's will be the same. I wanted this to be the starting point, but it appears I have to start all over and to get the same entries, print out the original file as a reference.
DB150, PR3, Decoder Pro doesn't read from track.
Hi,
As a new user I have been able to get the Digitrax DB150 with PR3 and DecoderPro working with a couple WiThrottles. What I cannot get working is the "Identify" or "Read From" buttons in DecoderPro to be anything but ghosted out.
Is it the USB interface that is not fully functioning, or the DB150 not support "Read From".
Thanks for assistance,

Feeder Wire Gauge Recommendations
I have 12 gauge wire as my bus, and something like 24 gauge for my feeders.....I bought them from a hobby store.....rail joiners with wires soldered on to them. Would I be better off with a higher gauge for my feeders......would that make my trains go any faster (they seem to go slow even with the throttle all the way up). My layout is 12x15x12x15 with a duck-under and I have 8 feeders spaced about 5 feet apart. Thanks for any suggestions......!
