Track and electrical/DCC

Dalee Electronics Yard Master
I have an older Yard Master it says to connect one set of wires to an AC supply would that be the AC screws on your power pack and the other 2 wires get connected the track?
Scale Trains + ESU Help?
Short story: I have a Scale Trains SD40-2 with LokPilot5 purchased separately. I can't control the beacon (it is just on steady) or find connectivity between decoder mounting pins (with decoder removed) and 'E' pad on mother board.
Second issue, 3 ST SD40-2 with ESU decoders make a sound like a short as soon as track power is turned on. They seem to operate normally but the noise is annoying. It diminishes when I touch the sides (non-metal) parts of decoder. Other (Atlas, Bowser) locos with ESU decoders are quiet.

Walk-around DC
Besides mrc command 20 ; what
Other dc power control offers walk around control?
Sound Decoder Competition
Is there anyone out there besides me doing decoder competition/comparisons on their own railroad?

Paragon-opinions?
Im curious to know what people think about Broadways Paragon decoders?
Would they consist with lok sound fairly well? I have to admit I dont know much about them.

DIY switch/turnout decoder
I want to build myself a DCC switch/turnout decoder for my old turnouts based on an ATTiny chip. I already have the electrical part figured out, with the help of some examples available on the internet.
There are also some ATTiny code examples, but only for locomotive or function decoders. There are no examples of how to control turnouts using the NMRA protocol. At least I could not find any. I suppose that the code for the turnout decoder should be significantly simpler, as there are no CVs involved.

Animated Switch Stands
I've just installed several Micro Engineering turnouts controlled with Tortoise switch machines. I'm planning on controlling the switch machines with NCE Switch8's and want to add animated switch stands to indicate turnout position instead of facia mounted LED's.
I like the Central Valley switch stands (#1604) but I'm wondering if they can or have been animated?
Or does anyone have experiences with another brand that's readily available? I'm interested in something in the steam / transition era.

MRC Prodigy coiled cable?
As I understand it, the MRC Prodigy system uses a RJ45 cable. I have a coiled cable for one of my throttles and I can't remember where the heck I got it. I dearly wish I'd ordered a couple more and the shorter cables that come with the throttles aren't terribly long.
Yes, I Googled the thing and found a lot of listings that are no longer valid.
I just wanna confirm it is indeed a RJ45 cable (I saw mention of it on my internet search) and if anyone knows a vendor which might have new coiled cables with the fittings on each end.
COILED CAB CABLE FOR NCE THROTTLE
I need a new coiled cable for my NCE Cab 06 as I broke the tab off the end of my current cable. Do they make a cable longer than 7 feet?
Thanks

Need some TCS WOWsound decoder advice.....
Sometime ago I installed a TCS WOWsound in an O scale Toby 2-8-2T engine, replacing an older Tsunami. Aside from the odd (to me) programming method, it seemed to work quite well, excellent sound and good motor control. My layout was at the laying track stage so it was used sparingly with a couple of cars. Now my mainline is finished and I’ve been running all the locomotives I’ve got and came across some weird behavior of the TCS decoder.
