Modeling the Frisco in north west Arkansas
I am modeling the Frisco line in north west Arkansas in the fall time. When finished with all my bench work it will be a 9' x 8' U shape layout for my ho trains.
I already have two gp35s in Frisco paint scheme and am repainting two, I think, F9s and an old 2-8-2 Mantua loco for a scenic excursion to a bed and breakfast in the mountains. The thing I am having trouble with is finding decals to match the font Frisco used. I have a hundred pics of the protos but I can't find any decals to match the pics.

XTrkCad question
I use XTrkCad 4.0.2 & would like to know how to save my files as jpegs or any other type media, or convert it so I can upload it here. Im sure its a simple command, I just can't locate it...

Modules on this and the other side of the Atlantic ocean (initiated by ChrisNH)
ChrisNH wrote in another thread:
A little off-topic.. but that FREMO layout looks lots of fun to operate. I really wish there was a local group doing FREMO or OneTrak for operations. Everything I see in New England for modular N seems to be N-Trak for show running. Triple mainline railfanning is not my thing.

Help & Feedback PART 2
Many thanks for the great input I have received here!!
The passing siding is now longer with the turnouts placed into the curves, the lumber mill is moved to a "front" on the backdrop, tracks are as far away from the edge as they can be, the switchback business in Shaye has been removed, & I now have a freeware version of XTrkcadd (learning curve wasn't too bad).
Across the pond - layout from Blighty
Good afternoon from across the pond here in Blighty (that's England for those of you not in the know!)
I've been enjoying the magazine over here and am picking up some good tips. I thought you might be interested in seeing how we do things in this neck of the woods.

Help & Feedback Please!
Here is a track plan of the N scale layout I'm ready to start building. I know it's not perfectly to scale, but seen as I'm on a very tight budget (no CADDRAIL), this will have to do until I begin the trackwork.
Looking for track planning service
Hi all, After visiting the O scale layouts this weekend that were open as part of the midwest o scale show, I have just amitted to myself that life is short and I do not learn as fast as I did in my younger days. So I'm looking for the new "John Armstrong" track planning service. I bought the 3rd planit software, but just do not want to spend the time needed to learn it. I want to be building, not planning! Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. Bruce -
nth draft, but getting close
Hello All...
2 years after moving into a new house, I've finally got around to finishing the basement! (well... OK... the wife got around to making me finish the basement!... and truth be told it's not exactly finished yet!!) On the bright side, I've now got a 13' by 8' room to build my n-scale empire!!
Here's a shot of the room...

Starting over on a new and larger HO railroad
Hello
I am planning for a new HO railroad, and have started a blog at http://gomrr.blogspot.com/
Please take a look at my first attempts of presenting a plan, and give some feedback and ideas for improvement!
My MRR should be freelanced, but based on Eastern U.S: area in the mid-fifties. I plan for running with 2-5 operators, but the layout should also be possible to run alone. For train lenght I plan for a maximum of 20 cars. The grades are planned to be a max. 2.3%, with a minimum radius of 48".
Best regards,
