You're welcome, AF!
AF:
I believe the advertisers will fall into basically three groups:
1. Early adopters who will see the potential of our approach immediately and want on board.
2. The "wait and sees" who might run some small test ads with us, but will be taking mostly a wait and see attitude.
3. The "don't see the value in it" crowd, who will have a hard time seeing that they're getting their money's worth out of us. They will struggle trying to get their head around why they would ever want to include us in their ad budget.
The real question is whether or not the first two crowds will provide enough in the early issues to help things pay their way. If we can stick it out, I suspect some of crowd under #3 will eventually move to #2 and try placing small ads with us. And we can hope, of course, that those in #2 find their money well spent and will become an avid crowd #1 supporter.
So we'll see!

Funny.......
Hi all,
last day I was bragging to a good friend, also a Harley's and trains fan, about the NTS 2008 show, now the funny thing is, he lives US side, me beeing from Belgium he just couldn't get how I obtained all this information about the new things comming out, so for about 30 minutes I pulled his string, about Anaheim, Digitrax etc etc....untill I told him to sign up here and see for himself, lol.
We have an add here stating " my home is where my Stella Artois is at " , well "My HOME is where my MRH is at", can't applaud this e-zine enough and I am glad I may be a part of it, not forgetting to thank the people who are making this happen (on their spare time with that), cause for a long time only the sun came up for free.................so...
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time anyone has done nearly two hours of video coverage of the National Train Show and posted it on the internet for free. If we can manage it, we hope this will become an annual event for MRH Theater!
This is one of many ways in which we hope to blaze new ground online for the hobby in the coming year. And if the hobby vendors will get behind us on this, we'll bring it all to you totally free.
We'll be refining our "field reporting" video skills along the way as well. Some of this year's content was very spur-of-the-moment, and it shows. But we figure you'd prefer to get the content anyway, even if it's not as polished as we would like.
Now we've got at least 6 hours of clinic content put to video that we need to edit and post - also for viewing completely free - again a hobby first.

MRH
this is sooo cool
and it's about time we finally got into the 21st century in our hobby.
this is just what I've been looking for for a couple years now, and I'm sure the manufacturers and dealers will suport it too.

Train Show Videos
I just watched several segments and all played without problems. What a great way to share information. Seeing how the various items work and hearing the owners describe their offerings really whets my appetite for the product in a way that print media does not. Excellant video quality.
General video comments
The idea of the content was excellent, but some of the interviwees needed a bit more preparation before the interview. I'd like to see more individual modules, interviews with 'guys like we' about how various products work or not for them, etc. You made a good effort, and I'm looking forward to more. I'll post the link on my club's forum.
Alwasy room for improvement ...
Yep, there's always room for improvement!
But to my knowledge this is a first - video coverage of the National Train Show and a selection of clinics from the convention.
We'd like to see this kind of coverage become an annual MRH tradition - giving us the opportunity to improve our skills every year!

Always room for improvement
But why just stop at the National Train Show? There are other conventions that take lace that need more coverage so that all of us can benefit from these get togethers. I would like to be able to go to many, if not all, of them. Being able to see them or at least highlights on video would make them more accessable to those of us who aren't independently wealthy or in the business. I also think this would give this website alot more value to any and all who might become interested in model railroading. It would also make the appeal of a free magazine to a much broader range of model railroaders not only possible but probable.

It costs money to get to (and attend) these things - we looked into doing the National Narrow Gauge Convention (it's in Joe & my back yard, practically), but the Army Reserve decided it would be better for me to spend that week (which is the upcoming week) at a small base on the Oregon Coast instead.
