This is it! New venture in H0!

Hi all.

Now that thing are starting to slow down, finally I have the time to make some progress on my home layout.

Well, I think now I have things sorted: New England, in the 70's or 80's. (yes, pretty much inspired by Mr. Mike Confalone). I don't wnat to have bit time railroading, but some switching, like Lance Mindheim, James McNab, or even Bruce Petty.

Servos 101

During the construction of my new layout,  http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/node/25098 had to up my game when it came to using servos.  The staging area is in a very inaccessible location so I decided to automate the twenty turnouts using servos, Arduino and JMRI.

I have learnt a great deal during the installation process and thought that it would be useful to share.

Abandoned train

Hi everyones !

Slow, methodical progess

Progress is slow on the railroad but only because I am really taking my time wanting to do this right. So far about 2 feet of track buried in the street. Brick pavers in the middle and on either side with 12' wide vehicle lanes. So far I am pleased with the look.

Missouri Pacific Railroad, Willioughby, Arkansas Branch. Frozen Foods Plant Part-2

Last entry I had put together the building's wall segments.  This week I went back and reinforced the areas where the segments were joined together.

A New Structure for Ashland Industrial Area

I have started a new scratch built structure for Ashland Ind. Area. It will be the "Sam Angrick Co. which was a Furniture Mfg. Company (this was a actual company in Ashland, WI during the 40's/50's time period I model.)

I started the brick wall inserts with Walthers Modular Wall Panels. Here I am removing the various tabs. So follow along with the next postings.

Richard
