Video tutorial on backdrops
This week I´ve been assembling new backdrops on the layout. Less bubbles, Less wrinkles, Curved corners..

LokProgrammer instructions
Hello All,
I really could use some expert advice on how to use the ESU LokProgrammer. I have three Kato EMD SD40-2s equipped with LokSound DCC decoders. I would like to upgrade them to the Full Throttle feature and I would also like to adjust the speed tables and acceleration and deceleration values. I've watched the ESU videos on YouTube but I really could use a step by step guide to walk me through what I need to do to update a unit already programmed.

Cornhill and Atherton - Lower Deck part 1 (Staging)
As the first part of the lower deck I have decided to build "bottom up" and install the staging first. This is double ended and the yard sits under the town of Glanton (itself under the town of Atherton). Staging feeds Cornhill (under Mortimer) at either end therefore forming a loop all round the room and also the link between the C&A and all points East and West on the Antioch and Southern railroad.

How to Paint Rusty Concrete
Railway Modellers Meet of BC is coming up fast.
I've been "patriotically volunteered" to be part of the committee looking after the Railway Modellers Meet of British Columbia (RMMBC, just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?). The comittee is working very hard to make this become a "don't miss" event in the region.

Track plans, Mock-ups, and thoughts about Operations
Now that my hollow core door benchwork is now essentially complete, I have started playing around with everything that goes on top.
The building of Limon layout.
Well my desktop computer is backup and running and I haven't posted anything in a while because of it. But I've been busy building my first meduim size layout.
I've based my benchwork on a design by Iain Rice from his book "Small, Smart & Practical Track Plans". I'll modify the track layout and scenery to fit my skill level and needs.
Here's a scan of the project.

MOW Work, love it and hate it
So living on the BNSF main line you see a lot of traffic, you also see some maintenance (and in one case recently a wreck). Right not many ties are being replaced so really cool to see but of course it is from 9 at night til 3 in the morning so trying to sleep aint so fun. Still really cool to see though,
