Where are they now ?

Wondering if anyone has heard anything from Bruce Carpenter who used to have the BNSF Chilli Sub. I know he was tearing down the BNSF and building a new Milwaukee based railroad but that was almost 4 years ago. Not a peep since then that I can find. Also is Rick Rideout still in the hobby ? Been a long time since any pictures or news on his L&N railroad.  ----  Ken

Question About Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette: 50-year collection, 1964-2014 DVD

I have a question about this collection.

Can you view the back issues without having to go through the program?

Example: Can I load up a few issues on my android tablet in a pdf format and view them while on a trip?

Thanks.

Using “grout” on scale bricks for mortar?

Suggestions please. I have a small "tub" of a product that is applied to plastic brick to give the appearance of grout. Coming out of storage, it is a bit thick, but pliable, and I am in need of ideas to make it more liquid to apply. Of course, I no longer have the directions and there is no label. If I remember correctly, it is brushed on, dries and "wiped" with  a Q-tip or cloth leaving the grout and coming off the brick.

Does anyone recognize this product? If you have instructions and ideas on saving this stuff, let me know. Thanks.

Loooow budget thin foil details for a Box Car

Hi! Few days back I was working on an auto parts Box Car trying to improve the interior. As many of the box car on the market, this atlas comes with no detail at all on interior walls or doors, so; geting inspired with one work I saw here (crushed cars) I've decided to make this interior details with thin foil. I hope this could be useful for all of you.
