Charlie Comstock (the video cameraman) used the built-in stereo microphone on the camera at about the 10:30 point - even on my netbook it's very apparent as the steam locomotive crosses from one speaker to the other.

Sorry that is not true, it is an edited sound track, the sound is just put on one side and then the other. I can tell this because there is total silence on the "quiet" side even while panning the camera. Try listening to it through headphones and you feel the difference, it is quite obvious and the silence is like a pressure on the ears.
Still sounds like a good system, only problem I can see is that you have to use Digitrax
Did the Soundtraxx Rep indicate if multiple Surroundtraxx Systems can be used with one Command Station? I like the idea of having a split Tsunami/Surroundtraxx system where the bass frequency sounds came from the under the table speakers, and the other sounds come from the locomotive speaker but only having six zones would not work.
I don't think the rep indicated that you needed more than one Command Station - I am definitely not Digitrax fluent, but isn't the BDL16 the gadget that handles the zones? So you stack those up to get more zones, right?

What if you have more than six zones?
