Modeling general discussion
Blowin' Off Some Steam
As some of you know, I was working on some D&RGW F7's, I was doing a repaint from some that were painted up for FEC, (got those from a friend of mine), and one Pennsy B unit, (got that one at a train show recently), I finally got a good match for the yellow, (my dealer doesn't seem to carry D&RGW yellow, imagine that!), so I used a mixture of UP orange, (aprox. D&RGW imitation gold, in other words, yellow), with a little bit of CNW yellow mixed in.

Resurrecting The Dinosaurs
Here is a video I did well over a year ago, and put onto youtube, this series of videos got somewhat good feedback from the regular viewers.
In this video I show how to change out the axle gears that crack with regularity on Proto 2000 units, and I replace them using Athearn parts.
Weathering 101
This is a video I did several weeks back, called Weathering 101, I show how I use eye makeup to weather some of my rolling stock.

Hi,
Something I put together on the weekend. A video gallery of a selection of images from my CNJ Bronx Terminal website showing construction of the layout so far.
Enjoy!
Transition from bridge to land. . .
Typically, when we model a bridge, the focus of the modeling is on the bridge itself. The last time I modeled a bridge I had a difficult time with the transition (or end of the bridge) from the bridge to land. I wasn't sure how to correctly model this. The bridge was a steel girder bridge with ballast (typical for the west). I had a hard time with the ballast falling through the transition from where the bridge ended to the land.
Any thoughts and/or photos would be helpful.
