Dipping a toe...

So I am officially dipping my toe into the dark pool of soul sucking model railroading that is On30 (which seems to be a trend, based on other posts), as I bid on and won a two truck shay on eBay.

General questions about the loco, as I await it's delivery.

locating white decals on white paper

Hello; Is there a way to see white decals on white or blue decal paper better? I think I read about wiping something over the sheet that allows the decal to become more visible. Thanks for all help.

Sound player

I've found a nice gadget - a little sound player. It can be used as a portable sound player if the loco is without sound or as a stationary sound player for example at a grade crossing: http://kleinbahnwiki.de/index.php/SoundFRED

Plastic Prep

I recall using a product called Plastic Prep from Testor's.   It was used for cleaning oils and grease from plastic before painting.  It has been discontinued.   Could any household surface cleaner be used instead?

Air brush experience

I have been using  Badger 200 and  Badger 150 air brushes for many years. The 200 is a single action and gets a lot of use. It is getting worn out from taking it apart to clean it. My son Neil uses the 200 and is happy with it, having gone through several. Scott Mason thinks the Iwata Eclipse is better (he used to represent them) There is a big price difference. Does anoyne have experience with both and if so what is your opinion?
