Layout tour
Midland Belt Railroad - West Allen Street industrial shelf layout
Hi everyone,
I don't think I've posted here before regarding the progress on my HO scale urban industrial layout, and I hoped that the members here might find it interesting. It's an American layout, UK style, but is still very much a work in progress. :)
SAMRA Train Show, January 2017
The San Antonio Model Railroad Association (SAMRA) recently held their 41st Annual Train Show in San Antonio, TX. Before it got too crowded on Sunday morning, I was able to take a few videos of some of the club layouts that were at the show. There is a large HO layout that has a really great looking refinery scene, then an O-scale layout that has a great circus with lots of music, and lastly, the N-scale layout with dinosaurs in the stock yard at their meat packing plant.
Mascoutin Valley Railroad - Layout Update 002
Hey everybody I'm going to be posting my video updates and my blogs here at MRH! I will be making posts about the Mascoutin Valley layout progress, locomotives and rolling stock updates, and other modeling topics!
My first post will be about my latest video of my layout update.
Completing a Ho layout in 15 days...almost done**Updated**
First a little back story. For those of you have seen my Madras Oregon Switching Layout I had eluded to the fact that I was no longer going to use it at my office and I would be posting about a new project, well here it is. I had been asked by my company to build a much larger layout for training purposes in our new training center.
Decal Work
Just wanted to share some of the decal work that I have been doing over the last month or so. I have a pair of Kato RDC-2 units that needed some ID markings. While digging thru my box of decals, I found some “Turtle Creek Central” decals that were purchased several years ago so they were put to use on these units. The following video shows the RDCs & some other items.
Photos of Bob Gretillat’s Rock Island layout
A while back I had the pleasure of attending an operating session at Bob Gretillat’s Rock Island layout. I like to shoot video to show the trains in operation, but on this particular occasion the video didn’t turn out very good, but Bob’s model scenes are well worth showing. So, I thought I would share a few images from our time.
I hope you enjoy this short tour. Images on the first post.
Layout Tour 2017
People have been asking for a layout tour for ages so I finally got up my loft over Christmas and took a video.

Last Update on my Garve and Ullapool Railway Layout
Due to a house move and change of workplace, I have to tear down my layout.
My new train room is smaller than the actual one, And there is no place for Ullapool and Inverlael. But my other modules could be reused. I will keep you up to date with my new layout.

Quebec and Ontario based Canadian Modular Homelayout
Hello MRH community,
my name is Marc (34) and I'm modeling Parts of the CN, CP and QGRY network in Ontario and Quebec, Canada.
My home layout is modular, so I can attend some FREMO meetings if there's one not too far away.
I'm modeling in N-Scale and our group performs regular ops session with waybills, car cards, dispatcher or callboard (depending on the amount of present operators).
My TOMA layout components
After seeing the details of the TOMA layout concept. I realized that I have always built in a TOMA style myself. On one hand my dioramas are static models and I agree with that. But my other larger modules are all TOMA candidates.
