Just wanted to share some of the decal work that I have been doing over the last month or so.  I have a pair of Kato RDC-2 units that needed some ID markings. While digging thru my box of decals, I found some “Turtle Creek Central” decals that were purchased several years ago so they were put to use on these units. The following video shows the RDCs & some other items.

Next there were three (3) unpainted Con-Cor/Rivarossi heavyweight baggage/express cars that had to be painted & decaled for the ATSF.  In addition to showing the cars in various stages of completion, one of the segments shows the new engine for the ATSF 4-8-4 conversion project.  I have given up on the previous version (Con-Cor GS4 & Bachmann 4-8-4) because the engine did not run very well.  The bearing blocks for the drive wheels kept slipping out of place, locking up the drivers, and stopping the engine.  The new project engine is based upon the Con-Cor S-2 4-8-4.  This project will be shown in an upcoming video.

Additionally, I had some heavyweight Pullman cars that I wanted to personalize with the names of a couple of family members and they are shown below.

The personalized name decals were created using some decal paper.  One issue (after several attempts) with creating names for cars in N-scale is that the letters are approximately 5 point and very hard to read (or see for that matter) so I did them with a dark background with 6 point lettering.  It is way too hard to cut out individual letters off regular decal sheets (numbers are hard enough).
