need advice on modeling this building

This is an image on Stgeve Klezyck's (Rattled's) photobucket site.  It is a building in Weed, CA.  I want to selectively compress it to about 6" tall to the eaves and 24" long or so.  It will sit up against my backdrop on my HO layout.  I will model it to the roof peak (about 4" deep).

Interesting Pipe Load

I was out doing some rail fanning today and I came across this interesting pipe load on a tractor trailer.

Anybody ever seen pipe loaded this way before?

How 'bout on a rail car?

Workin' on the railroad - at the cottage

We are fortunate enough to be able to spend a couple of weeks as a family at a cottage near Parry Sound, ON. With that much free time ahead of me, I seized the opportunity for some major catch-up on track laying. Into the car went tie strips and switch kits from Proto 87 Stores, as well as a supply of paints and basic tools.
