Bowling Green Kentucky Train Show - Anybody gonna be there?

Hey guys, just though I'd see if anyone's going to be at the Bowling Green, Kentucky train show Saturday. If you are, come on up and introduce yourself. Will have a "Jacob still plays with trains t-shirt and a Amsoil cap on. Mr. Nolan's even gonna be there too!

My 3 feet railroad. 3 feet away and it looks good

This is my idea of a C&O area in West Virginia.  Structures are scratch-built.

EPS Foam for SUBroadbed?

Hi,

Has anyone ever tried using EPS foam (blue or pink board) as the subroadbed for your layout?   I'm considering it since it should be lighter and easier to cut than plywood (and I want a lightweight layout). Of course it would have to be fully supported, like on a hollow core door or such, since by itself it will sag across any kind of span. Seems it should be at least the 1" thick stuff, tho 2" could be overkill.

Sky Color/Paint

With my new color of LEDs I am re-evaluating the sky color in my layout room,...best be done before I start lying track,...and I wanted to paint a few other items under my other deck (the metal beams, etc).

The number of my LEDs has increases so the decks will be a bit more brightly lit,...so I began to think of a 'brighter blue'. I have a couple picked out.

But I have a major question. What 'sheen' does one choose,....flat, semi-gloss, satin etc??

YouTube Rolling Stock Reviews and Coupler Height

Whether its James Wright, Daniel Cortopassi or a number of others who review mrr rolling stock on YouTube. . . there is one consistency between them all.  When reviewing/checking coupler height, most of the pieces of rolling stock have one or both of the couplers too high or too low.

Woodinville, WA MOW Shack 1/29 Build

Woodinville, Washington once was the hub of activity of the Seattle, Lake Shore and Eastern, followed by the Northern Pacific, Burlington Northern, BNSF, and finally the home of Eastside Freight Railroad (recently shut down as of August 2020).

Decoders

Hello

Does anyone have experience with adding a Stay Alive to a Digitrax decoder DH165A0 that has a SFX006 Sound Bug attached? If yes please tell me where the blue and black wires are soldered to?

Thanks

Paul
