Dimensional Letter Building Sign: 3D Print

Using Sketchup’s 3D Text feature, and my Printrbot Play 3D printer, it took me about an hour to design, print and apply these dimensional letters.

Gibbard Furniture Update

A bunch of details to complete but putting this project structure aside for now. Finished the ivy on the west wall, temporary banner across the front (the dymo label tape doesn't want to stick to the painted wall). Reflections in the windows behind the glazing is from pictures of the actual location taken a few years ago. Doing a section of landscape foam to support the building. Slow process to building the Napanee scene the way I want it.

Model realistic Tunnel Portals

Tunnel portals are important scenery details, which most often is bought as a standard item ready made. Then just as often the portal will be somewhat misplaced, unless you´re modelling exactly that region of the prototype.

Branch Line Roundhouse #7001 Detail Associates

Recently acquired a Detail Associates "Branch Line Roundhouse" Kit # 700, that I was assured was complete.

Seems to be missing the instruction sheet and parts inventory. Looking for a copy, if you can help let me know

HO scale plans for Grain/Feed Mills

I am looking for HO scale dimension plans for scratch building a Feed/Grain Mill. I have about a 4"/6" W x 18" L area to work with. I want to use PVC tubing for the silos and will use styrene for the rest of the building. If anyone has such a plan or know where I could find some on the internet that could be down loaded I would greatly appreciate it. I have spent way to much time on the internet looking for this to no avail.

Thanks for any and all help in making this happen.

Laying Ballast -The Easy Way

Ballasting the tracks can bring that all important finished look to any model railroad. Many readers on this site already have their own technique for this, but not everyone is an expert. So for everyone else, who is just learning, here is how I have refined this simple but daunting (if you've not done it before) landscape skill.
