Scenery - Structures
Harvest Season at Rock Ridge
This year's drought has not had much effect on the grain harvest around Rock Ridge. I finished up some scenery work around the elevators this weekend and thought I would share a few pictures.

Pallet Recyclers
Got started on a signature but non-rail served industry on the Grimes Line, Pallet Recyclers of Iowa. As the name implies Pallet Recyclers rebuilds and resells pallets to companies. The rather unique warehouse is located on Meredith Drive backed up to the rail line. Because of it's location I only had to model the rather plain backside as a backdrop flat.
My version of a classic kitbash
Way back when, master kitbasher Art Curren took two New River Mine kits and combined them into a chemical plant and wrote an article that I stumbled across. Having a couple kits sitting around, I thought this would be a good way to get back in the swing of things as I ramp up to refilling the basement with a N scale empire.
Roads
Looking for any feedback on the installation of roads. Particularly the modeling of Asphalt roads that would be seen in the late 60s.
Show of your modeling.. Please.

Carving Rocks In Foam
Has anyone tried carving rock in the blue construction styrofoam? I'm sure I have seen it done somewhere but can't find it. I have a tunnel scene that exits out of blasted rock and I think foam might work here but I'd like to see some examples.
