Scenery - Structures

My first module

This is my first module.  The first tentative steps beyond just collecting.

This module is a mainline through a tunnel over a small bridge beside a stream in the mountains. Inspired by Pelle Soeborg.  Hopefully it will look like a piece of the Canadian Rockies.

My first module - progress

These are how it was looking a few week ago after I'd completed the first ground cover layers.

Ruby Canyon scenery advice needed

Now that my benchwork is getting but back after some basement remediation work, I want to start working on scenery.  I have a section that I want to have some sandstone cliffs which look like Ruby Canyon in eastern Utah near the border with Colorado.  I've already put in some cardboard webbing as a base which has some vertical walls with some angled sections.  I'm planning on using some plaster impregnated gause I have to cover part of it, maybe use some plaster with netting after I run out of what I have.

35 second video of the islands at the base of Misti Mountain on my Richlawn RR layout

Another "mini" video using my Cube micro camcorder - this time the subject is the three islands at the base of Misti Mountain.  There will also be a island in the foreground towards the edge of the layout.

Update on the Middleton Mill project

Well the basic structure of Middleton Mills is done. Painted and weathered. Have to add the details like vents, pipes, chimney, crates on the loading dock, some workers etc.

IAIS's West End - Don't need a doctor, just a bunch of nurses

A couple years ago I set out to find models of HO scale anhydrous ammonia wagons, called "nurse tanks", such as those shown below, from http://daltonag.com/dnn/daltonag.com/Portals/0/DNNGallery/uploads/2015/4/16/WN%20Series.jpg :

23 second video of work in process at the base of Misti Mountain

Rock work continues on the Richlawn RR at the base of Misti Mountain.  There will be water on both sides of the track along with a few islands.  The video was shot with my new "Cube" micro camcorder on a flat car by pushing it along the track.  There's just a "tiny" bit of clutter on the layout! wink

Two new structure kits for the C&E

First of 2 kits. Found these exceptional looking models on EBay. Do they exactly fit the Chicago area? No not really. But the detail on them is awesome.
