Layout design
Spline roadbed vs other methods
I have become enamored with the flowing look of track built on spline roadbed. While I model in On30, the track gauge is the same as HO, it does require longer ties and more center to center spacing. With that in mind I lowered a section of my bench work about 4” below where the other, plywood, roadbed is already in place to allow a few more riders and some room for scenery below the track level.
Layout Dilemma
Hello All,
Looking for some help. I currently am in the process of building my layout, its been a work in progress off and on for a year due to work and such, plus moving. Anyway I have the benchwork up and track is down, however I have hit a point where I really have no idea what to do.
G&D Sorethroat Branchline Mk3
Hello, it's been some time since my last update on my G&D plan. Due to the housemove last year I had to scrap the beginnings of my Sorethroat Branchline Mk2 layout. I was only able to start tracklaying in the fiddle yard. But now with some time gone I started on planing the new version. The new layout should be a homage to John Allens layout. But with less space, I don't want to copy his layout. So I set my layout further north. So in the Northern Californian or Oregon area. My room is roughly 4x4 meters.

Re-Starting my layout design questions...
Howdy, again...
Ok, I started my own thread for this layout design. Here is the drawing. Now, All I need to do, is figure where I can add another loop, by adding an elevation on risers. I am open for ideas, and methods.
