BLI GS-4
I Have a BLI Espee GS-4. Shortly after I purchased it, the gears cracked along with the lower gear case and the motor mount. I returned it to BLI, got the engine back 8 weeks later and had to send it back AGAIN; it ran awful.
When I got the engine back the second time, it still ran lousy! At this point, it makes a great paperweight. I also have their N&W "J." Its a lousy runner too.
Anyone else out there have problems with BLI steam?
DCC Lighting Help
I have a pair of second hand N-scale Kato SD-40-2's that came equipped with Digitrax decoders. I'm assuming that they are DN1631 decoders and further assuming that they might be DN1631K1C decoders as that is the Digitrax decoder currently available for this locomotive.
I've successfully reset both of the decoders using the DV8 008 entry. The chips went back to the default address of 003, the acceleration and deceleration settings went back to zero and I assume everything else went back to 'normal'.
Deleting your own post/reply?
How can you delete a post/response after you, well, post. I just responded to a post, and after previewing and submitting, my computer kicked out of the program temporarily and came back. I was not sure if the post went through so I submitted it again as it came back to the same page. When I viewed the main post page, of course now there were two posts. Can you delete an entire post of your own or does it become public domain forever after submission?

Where is the spell checker button?
In my last few posts I have noticed that the spell check button is missing. I still see the red underlines but have no way to correct them without going to the bookshelf and digging out the Websters'.
Rich text editor problems creating a new post?
Anyone experiencing intermittent issues with the rich text editor when opening a new topic? It didn't happen to me this time but a moment ago when trying another new topic it would not let me type the body of the post until I switched to the plain text editor. I had the "Body:*" show up but no input box below it (no icons, nothing).

Yellow background in editor...
Sorry guys, I don't like the yellow. I'm sure I'll come to accept it but I find it unpleasant to look at. Too bright.
Contacting Someone
Can you contact someone via personal email from a blog or topic? Specifically, if someone comments on your post and you would like to contact them via email for more information either to share or request that would either be off topic or may not interest others how do you do that?
I tried selecting their screen name but that did not appear to work.

Options for underneath the layout fascia
I need advice on options for a covering below my layout fascia to hide storage. Below is a photo of how the area looks now. I’ve seen many different approaches and I’m interested in hearing what others have used and the pros and cons (if any) of their choice.

Tsunami Soundcar - an alternate idea - STATIONARY APPLICATION FOR YARDS??
Guys (and gals!),
I'm hoping some of you tech savvy modelers will comment on this.
Friend Neil Schofield and I were discussing the Tsunami Soundcar product. In theory it's a great idea, but for those of us who have larger layouts and lots of cars, its all but a non-starter due to cost considerations. But Neil proposed an interesting idea.
